We are truly grateful to Vacs4Vets for blessing our family with accommodations for our recent trip to Washington, D.C. As a proud U.S. veteran, I can’t express how much it meant for our family to step away from everyday responsibilities and experience quality time together in such a historic and vibrant city.

This opportunity allowed us to explore powerful sites like the National Museum of African American History and Culture, U Street, Howard University, and the MLK Memorial — places that connected us deeply to our heritage and reminded us of the strength, creativity, and resilience of the Black community.

But we also enjoyed other sides of D.C.: a tour of the White House, time along the National Mall, shopping at Tanger Outlets, and a scenic visit to National Harbor. These moments of fun, discovery, and reflection made for a well-rounded and unforgettable vacation.

We are incredibly thankful to Vacs4Vets for honoring veterans and their families in such a meaningful way. This experience gave us the chance to bond, learn, and create memories that we will carry with us forever. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
